Primitive Reflexes Instruction Manual

Over the years, my work and research have focused on primitive reflexes and
their relationship to clinical conditions like autism and other neurobehavioral, mental and physical health conditions. I developed this manual because, as a rapidly developing science, concepts on retained primitive reflexes are continually evolving. My personal understanding of these reflexes has also grown in terms of answering questions like:

• What does it mean when these reflexes are retained? How does this
impact the brain?
• What is their association with neurodevelopment disorders, not only
in children, but also in people of all ages?

Through years of research, I’ve answered these and other key questions about retained reflexes, and now believe they may be one of the earliest documentable signs there is a problem with the brain’s development. So, what does this mean?

This may be one of — if not the — most important causative factors in neurobehavioral disorders across all age groups. I’ve also come to believe these reflexes are a key target treatment area, one where we can reverse and improve developmental delays. If we do not fully inhibit or integrate these reflexes, it will directly impact how quickly an effectively we can change the brain and behavior.
